UMU is the fusion of two companies; a leading provider of risk management consultancy services and a high profile provider of disruptive software solutions, both working with organisations involved in major infrastructure projects and programmes.

Working with other proprietary risk management systems over the last twenty years, it became very clear to us that a new and different approach was desperately needed. All existing systems created as many problems as they solved. Their clunky interfaces, overly complex data structures and workflows and a lack of imagination in the reporting, dashboarding and user interface solutions, were all frustrations that constrained the enhancement of risk management maturity and integration. When often asked by our clients to recommend a risk management system we couldn’t, so we decided we had to develop our own.

UMU is built by risk professionals, for risk professionals. To ensure we delivered the ultimate platform and set new standards, it was developed and tested by our specialist team of practising risk analysts, managers and project professionals in real-world situations.
